To all State Employees:

I launched the Fiscal Fitness Program knowing full well that the success of this program will primarily be in the hands of our state employees. You are the people who do the work and are in the best position to identify new ways to make us more efficient.

Everyone realizes that these are challenging economic times. As such, we have made a commitment to the citizens of Rhode Island to improve the way we operate state government. We have to find faster, better and more cost-effective ways to deliver government services.

Thank you for supporting this initiative. I know that we will be successful in making Rhode Island a model for other states to follow.
